We've installed it but users can't seem to get into their OneDrive folder since it's installed onto C:\Users\%username%\Onedrive - Tenant Users are hit with: Any ideas how we can get around with without having to allow access to the C drive at all?

We removed the "Prevent access to these drives" setting, but left "Hide these drives" and "Remove and prevent access to the "run" command" switched on. They can't see the C drive, they can't type the path into explorer, but things on the C drive work like onedrive. 2

We have SRP rules in place to prevent running any of the windows utils and commands so hopefully it shouldn't cause any issues (I hope).

robk Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Has anyone got a startup script to install this update? Dont have SCCM installed so looking at a way to roll this out with standard AD tools. Guessing UAC will be a problem, but dont want to turn that off!

There isn't anything SCCM-specfic in it. www.imab.dk/migrate-your-onedrive-for-business-to-per-machine-installation-with-or-without-source-files-using-sccm-and-powershell/ Guessing UAC will be a problem, but dont want to turn that off! Startup and shutdown scripts will work fine with UAC on. 1

Am planning on using this version for our new laptops we are getting but hoping the change will be made by Microsoft so I don't need to do anything with SCCM.

The version of OneDriveSetup.exe included with 19H1/1903 is 19.002.0107.0005. You need 19.043.0304.0003 or newer for the per-machine installation. Edit. Perhaps that will include the newer OneDrive client? MS screwed up the client version on 1709 by not including the one that had Files on Demand functionality... wonder if they'll learn this time...

Only want it as files on demand, machine is registered in AAD and SSO works fine for browsers to get to email etc. Seem to be missing something but can't track down what that might be
