Internet printing

Hi All,

 

We recently changed from using RDP where teachers could send jobs to print through RDP, to giving out teacher laptops and moving data to sharepoint/O365. What's the best way of deploying a printer to these laptops that can print from anywhere?

No. It's a small primary so never had the need to look at something like papercut which presumably has a hefty price tag?

Papercut's not hugely expensive, but is probably a bit much for just a cloud print solution. And I wouldn't recommend getting it just for that.

Have you looked at Microsoft's Hybrid Cloud Print solution?

Do you have a VPN/direct access in place, if so just map the normal printer as if they were on the network.

No VPN at the moment. I could look into setting one up, but I've not wanted to introduce complications that increase the risk of having to support people's tin-pot home connections.
