mdrabble Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 ESS Agreement expires end of this month and current supplier (Insight UK) are dragging their heals despite emails reminding them. Any recommendation for other suppliers. Cheers
BFCIT Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Ravi at Apex Network Solutions - Great pricing - well recommended.
mdrabble Posted March 12, 2019 Author Posted March 12, 2019 Finally had the quote through and i had to look at the quote twice as the cost increase by £3,700!!! I knew there was a price increase but that is ridiculous!!!! That is over 50% increase!!! Someone tell me this is a joke!
NetworkNinja Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Finally had the quote through and i had to look at the quote twice as the cost increase by £3,700!!! I knew there was a price increase but that is ridiculous!!!! That is over 50% increase!!! Someone tell me this is a joke! That seems quite expensive... My renewal quote had gone up by around £300.
robyholmes Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 I'm in same situation. Waiting on Insight UK for pricing. They used to be very quick but over the last year or so they've become slow and pricing has increased. I've got another price from BIST Group. https://www.bist.co.uk/
E_G_R2 Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 I got another quote (Millgate) then told insight if they wanted repeat business they had to drop their price. Were able to drop it. Didn't used to need to do this with Insight
Koldov Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 I am interested in this... My renewal will not be up for a couple of years (well, we are just coming up to the end of the first year of a 3 year deal). I am still however thinking of 'jumping ship' as I am told this is possible...? Although price is obviously a consideration, I am also concerned with the service - not only do they need to know what they're talking about, but after a couple of incidents this year it turns out there are a few things on MVLSC that ONLY a reseller can do! Things like adding O365 Pro licenses, removing old administrators and getting certain information about work/microsoft accounts. Our reseller has just given up answering my emails which is shame as they used to be brilliant. I understand we are not 'big fish' to them and it's just a few licenses, but I really don't appreciate things on our VLSC, which is holding licenses we purchased, being under the control of a third party who can pretty much decide not to engage with you at any given moment...
Blue_Cookeh Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Had a very good experience going through VeryPC last year. 1
mdrabble Posted March 13, 2019 Author Posted March 13, 2019 Well it turns out that this time round, it is a new renewal and not an anniversary renewal! Which explains why the pricing is so different! Even so...... an increase of over £3,700 is ridiculous!

Hasn't this always been on the cards for this year? https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/493283/Microsoft_memorandum_of_understanding.pdf EduGeek.net - Microsoft reply to your MoU questions Super discount pricing for education was due to be removed for renewals post July 2018, unless I've missed them not going forward with that.
robjduk Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 I renewed mine with a company called Haptic. They came in £2000 cheaper than the other 2 I tried.
