Change what closing the lid does

Hi,

 

having an issue with a W10 Edu surface pro, which is fully updated.

 

Whenever I shut down, the setting for 'Change what closing the lid does' "When I close the lid' goes back to 'sleep', after I have set it (and saved) to 'Do nothing'

 

Any ideas on how to permanently set this?

How have you set it in the first place?

Set it via Group Policy for Mobile Devices:

 

Computer Policy -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Power Management -> Button Settings

 

2 settings:

Select the Lid Switch action (On battery)

Select the Lid Switch action (Plugged-in)

 

Change them to 'Take no Action'

Use the Power options under the Control Panel = System and Sercirty -= Power Options = Create a Power Plan = High Performance = Change Power Settings = Select the Lid Switch action (On battery) or Select the Lid Switch action (Plugged-in).
