Pink_Panda Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 (edited) hello there before half term I was made aware that we'd be taking on a student as dual reg from another school. I just wanted to check that he did turn up, as I need to set up targets for him, but when I enter his name in the student search with enrollment status set as 'current', his record doesn't come up. When changing the enrollment status to 'any', he's there. We've got another dual reg student from another school, but she comes up under current, so I don't think it's got something to do with the enrollment status? Any idea why this is, as I don't think I've ever had this before? thanks and regards Edited March 6, 2019 by Pink_Panda
bfelton Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 What's their admission date? are they a future student? 1
cullingsh Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 Or have they a leaving date as they left already? 1
Pink_Panda Posted March 6, 2019 Author Posted March 6, 2019 (edited) no, he started yesterday, 5 March and has been registered to classes yesterday and today, so is on roll. But I've just noticed that we've got a girl, single reg, who started today, with the same problem. Is it something in the way they were set up? I don't do admissions, so don't know anything about that. Edited March 6, 2019 by Pink_Panda
Linfit Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 For the Dual Registration, is this possibly due to the pupil having been enrolled with their originating school as the "primary" and your school as the "secondary" site, whereas the other pupil has been enrolled the other way round ? 1
Pink_Panda Posted March 7, 2019 Author Posted March 7, 2019 For the Dual Registration, is this possibly due to the pupil having been enrolled with their originating school as the "primary" and your school as the "secondary" site, whereas the other pupil has been enrolled the other way round ? No, they are both dual reg - subsidiary with us...
bfelton Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 You mentioned that they come up if you select "any", do they show with any of the other options on the filter?
Pink_Panda Posted March 7, 2019 Author Posted March 7, 2019 The dual reg student and the single reg student also come up with the 'ever on roll' filter. They have both been set up in the last couple of days, dual reg one 5 March, single reg 6 March. TBH, I only ever use the 'current' or 'any' filters, and it stumps me that they both don't show up under 'current' when they are definitely on roll!
bfelton Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 So they don't come up on any other filters? that would suggest that SIMS thinks they have left rather than they haven't started yet. If you look at the history button in the registration panel do they have orange bars for now for each area? 1
Esteban_Child_of_the_Sun Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 Have you run validate memberships in SIMS since this started happening? If not I'd start there (Tools | Validate Memberships). 1
Pink_Panda Posted March 7, 2019 Author Posted March 7, 2019 I've just run validate memberships, and hey presto, both now come up under filters: any, current, ever on roll and on roll. The history panel shows an effective range from today. thanks everyone!
