Theldron Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 Hi all, Hope you are well. We have a Creative Cloud licensing and an IT teacher wants the students to have logins so that they can use their CC libraries, to access items in different Adobe programs. I have had a look but was wondering has anyone else set this up and any information that could be given would be great? Many thanks
Arthur Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 (edited) I am currently in the process of setting up federated Adobe IDs with G Suite so students don't have another set of credentials to remember for Creative Cloud. I found the links and video in the following post really helpful. https://www.edugeek.net/showthread.php?p=1745752 See also the following thread... https://www.edugeek.net/showthread.php?t=200464 Do you currently have device licenses for CC? Theldron Posted March 5, 2019 Author Posted March 5, 2019 Hi Arthur, Thanks for the reply and the links. Yeah, we are currently still using device licensing.
Theldron Posted March 5, 2019 Author Posted March 5, 2019 Do i need to move to the new device sharing licensing?
Arthur Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 (edited) Do I need to move to the new device sharing licensing? Unfortunately yes. My school is going to migrate to SDL since device licenses will stop working at the end of this year. https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/migrate-dl-to-sdl.html There's also Named User licensing, but this is more suited for 1:1 devices. GiggleKitteh Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 One thing to watch out for with SDL. Students will get full access to Adobe Creative Cloud on an SDL machine but no access on their own machine unless they have their own named user licence. We will be advising students not to save anything in their creative cloud account that they want to access on their own machine.

Brimstone Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 If you don't need CC 2019 you can decide when you switch to SDL this year....
