Hi all

Not sure if anyone can help...

Trying to tie up a few loose ends on our census, we have Y7 students who accepted a place with us but actually accepted another school and never attended with us. They have been marked as 'Off Roll' on our MIS (Progresso) however they are still showing as having 'Possible Attendance Sessions' and therefore dragging down our Att % and PA.

I wondered if anyone knows whether we can delete them fully from our MIS to show they never existed with us? We have a new admissions officer in post and we are unsure of any potential repercussions/any legalities around deleting students.

Thanks

We delete students who have never had any data attached to them, the SIMS delete student throws a warning if there are any potential issues.

I seem to remember Progresso did the same but it has been a while since I used that MIS.

Since the CME agenda got really prominent it's been a bit more work to remove students from roll in this situation.

Provided you've done due diligence and found out where the student has gone then you can delete them (only for students that have never set foot in the school of course!)

In the old days these students were commonly just deleted a few weeks into september but that's now a bit of a no-no.
