  1. As I move on my old post is up as a vacancy working at North Birmingham Academy, the post is currently advertised through the City Council website. https://www.birmingham.gov.uk/directory_record/300453/data_manager_at_north_birmingham_academy The role is full time, all year round minus 2 weeks over Christmas. I'm happy to answer any questions on the position and the academy itself.
  2. If you're creating a report it's going to be under 'Additional Information...' > In LEA Care or slightly further down that list with 'Caring Authority' & 'In Care Start' and ' In Care End' dates.
  3. Closest I've got is a replication of SISRA's Residual, this is achieved by creating a marksheet for the whole year group with each subject's results and having a Formula for Data review column taking the mean grade. Then coulmns follow that calculate the difference from the mean and this is held in a 'Residule' aspect for each subject. This way I open the markshet at the end of data collection, calculate and the residule can then be used on each individual subject marksheet.
  4. I've known some establishments deal with this query regularly as they don't technically have a Head teacher employed by the academy but instead have an executive head under contract from a MAT. If you're happy everything is in order I'd just ensure you place a COLLECT note on the return stating who the head is.
  5. Depends on whether this is an error or not, The query suggests you have no one contracted as a Headteacher or Excecutive Headteacher at the moment. If this is correct you can provide an explanatory note on collect. If not you need HR to look over the contracts area of the head's staff record to confirm the data has been entered correctly.
  6. The time to produce a print run is the reason I switched to running 'Individual Reports' instead. I then combine the individual pdf files to a single Printable file for our reprographics tech and this seems to ensure things run smoothly. Entire process from start to finish including the print time is around 45 minutes for a single Year Group.
  7. This is the primary reason we're going to use it, it'll be disappointing if it fails the first time we use it.
  8. We delete students who have never had any data attached to them, the SIMS delete student throws a warning if there are any potential issues. I seem to remember Progresso did the same but it has been a while since I used that MIS.
  9. Without doubt, but sometimes you have to go as far as you can and let it all fall down before anyone will spend any money.
  10. OneDrive doesn't run as a service so you need to be logged in for the sync to take place, I've got this on my February term break list but apparantly have a task scheduled to stop and start the application under the user credentials you want to sync with will give a bit of a hack to work around this. https://blog.rufer.be/blog/knowledge-base/HOWTO-Sync-OneDrive-on-Server-even-if-Windows-User-not-logged-in.html
  11. I can't seem to find the page on My Account anymore but the resources are here, https://www.dropbox.com/sh/xooim0qkhxv3ynh/AABqz35VsjM5caKTT23oWikAa?dl=0 personally I didn't like the command reporter utility but the links in the Dash script provided an excellent starting point and the links in the Word Doc to the Power BI training were quite useful
  12. One thing we have incorporated to resolve issues with students who don't need a data entry is to add an 'X' entry option. When used this is counted as if the student has an 'excusable' U grade, this way an entry has been made by the member of staff so they have taken care of their responsibility and although it's going to track them as below progress levels it's not going to get the staff pulled up on. That is providing it's a known alternative curriculum student or a student very new and not having data available to enter, we've got a lot of alternative curriculum in use this year so I'm interested if the students will still show on the marksheets that they should technically be attached to will still show them?
  13. The populate button should give you the display of missing marks at the bottom of the screen, I tend to export this to Excel sort it, remove entries I know are going to be missing or late for whatever reason and then send the list out to all teaching staff. Once they see their names repeatedly appearing on this list they tend to give the data entry a higher priority.
  14. Once logged in to ASP you should see a tab relating to Question Level Analysis along the left hand side of the page.I see KS4 (the default open tab) KS4 Disadvantaged, Question Level Analysis and List of Reports Once you open the Question Level Analysis tab it's simply a case of following the 'Search for pupils by importing UPNs' link at the bottom of the page & then pasting UPNs for Year 7 into the box. When you return to the Question Level Analysis tab it's have the breakdown of the students with available KS2 data ready to review.
  15. You can always look up ULNs via LRS manually but if there are any more than a handful it's not a quick task.
