Jobos Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Espresso have told us they want to move our Espresso service to the cloud but I have my reservations as I'm sure it will not be as responsive as an onsite server. Has anyone tried their cloud service and if so what are your thoughts?
atcoates Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 We moved a few weeks a go and know one has noticed any difference. Obviously your broadband needs to be pretty good etc. We only have an 80/20 line but still seems ok. 1
Jobos Posted February 4, 2019 Author Posted February 4, 2019 Thanks for the reply. I would expect some lag when a class of 30 laptops all start watching videos at the same time but as you say once the page has loaded it will look the same.
steveg Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 We moved, and then moved back. There were no issues with speed, but we use a link on our intranet page to the espresso site, and this just doesn't work using auto login when using an ipad. You can deploy a shortcut to ipads for autologin, but cannot have an intranet link. Steve 1
TronXP Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 We moved in September, another server gone, more room in server room less electricity being used! No one has complained so it must be fine. 1
FN-GM Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 We moved our remaining primary schools about 3 years ago. No problems at all - its just like any other website. They can provide shortcuts to auto login etc. 1
xicor Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 Hi, does anyone know how those shortcuts can be deployed to supervised iPads using Meraki MDM ?
