I have for reasons noted in another thread over 500 pst files that I need to combine into one to view the results in Outlook. There is a manual way of opening each pst file but does anyone know of a, preferably free, way of doing this in bulk?

If you have Exchange might there be some way of using a PowerShell script to import them all into a mailbox that you can then view or export everything from?

No exchange. Just a standalone copy of Outlook. The pst files have been generated by using Google Vault as we normally use G Suite/Gmail

why spammers? Am i missing something here?
You probably aren't so aware, but we delete so much PST related spam from EduGeek. It is probably the most heavily spammed thing on the forum. It has got to the point where I see PST in a thread title and assume it is spam. Luckily, I read your post and didn't instantly ban you :D

Same on Serverfault - we see so much snake-oil spam from pst/ost recovery spammers on any post related to Exchange recovery that it's unreal.

@elsiegee40 I see, wasn't aware of that. Do you want to delete this thread then? I dont mind as it looks like there is no free way to do this and we will have to buy some software. Might be worth buying something as we can then use it for any future SARs we get.

Happy to leave it for a while and give people an opportunity to solve the problem. When it turns into spam central I will lock it.
