FN-GM Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 Hello, Is it possible to install a Server 2019 KMS key onto a Server 2016 KMS host please? Have those Server 2019 KMS issues where it thinks its Server 2016 been fixed please? Thanks

Linfit Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 AD activation works OK - I activated a 2019 server importing a KMS into AD on a 2016 DC no problem. Don't know about standard KMS server though.
rls2k5 Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 I could only get it to work by importing the key from the 2019 server, but RSAT was sufficient, I didn't need to install the volume activation role on it. This was back in November before any updates could of fixed the issue.
