Hi all

We have traditionally used Keyspan USA 19HS adapters to turn USB into serial for use with our older interactive boards. These have been really good. However, on some of our windows 10 machines we are getting regular blue screening and we suspect the issue is these adaptors. There doesn't appear to be an updated driver for them and they are about 10 years old.

Anyone else recommend a converter that fully supported by Win 10?

Thanks

As long as you don’t get a fake one, adapters based on the Prolific PL2303 work fine in my experience. I bought a Ugreen branded one from Amazon for connecting to switches and that works for me with Windows 10.

Alternatively, you might have better luck with FTDI ones, they are more expensive but have a better reputation

We've got some StarTech.com ones that have been working with Win10 okay. The product code is ICUSB232. They're based on the Prolific PL2303 by the looks, and need the driver for that.

Started make two adapters and the cheaper one has always proved flakey in my experience (with blue screens in Windows 10)... The more expensive one which I think is ICUSB2321F (FTDI) works like a dream though.
