DaveWalton Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 In the last couple of weeks, I am getting a large number of students that when they log in they get the local computer profile rather than their network profile. This seems to be totally random and all computers in the room are set up exactly the same way. They are all using Windows 7 64 bit and the domain controller is on server 2016 standard Can anyone shed some light in what i can check i am at my wits end here and cannot work it out
SteveB_NI Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 Did you ever get any resolution to this? Same happening here - particularly over past few weeks. The users log in & get access to everything - control panel etc (not that it can particularly work for them but still) but no folder shares etc work. So yes, like a local profile. Only resolution I can find so far is to rebuild.
Areku Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 I dont know if it affects windows 7 machines, but we had issues with UNC hardening on our sysvol locations, caused issues similar to what your having.
