  1. Thanks for that but that doesnt answer what i need
  2. Can a teacher broadcast a window, such as a power point presentation while working on another such as sims and the student can only see the powerpoint one I know this can be done if someone has 2 monitors but not every teacher has this.
  3. In the last couple of weeks, I am getting a large number of students that when they log in they get the local computer profile rather than their network profile. This seems to be totally random and all computers in the room are set up exactly the same way. They are all using Windows 7 64 bit and the domain controller is on server 2016 standard Can anyone shed some light in what i can check i am at my wits end here and cannot work it out
  4. Yes but it cost us a bit! Had to change to SSd drives and also a few of our keyboards were not compatible with 64 bit operating systems we did previosuly use an alternative driver but this was causing issues, whenwe replaced these most crashes we had after the SSDs were installed stopped
  5. We have sibelius installed using windows 7 on a small number of Pc's. The pcs have hardly any other software on them and have a lot of ram. We are experiencing regualar crashes with the software, where it will play and then suddenly hang and thats it unless we log out or end the task Has anyone else experienced anything similar and were you able to fix?
  6. I have noticed that since upgrading a Mac, that parental controls seem to have reduced the number of apps listed. This is causing issues with loading software and I cannot find a way around it. Has anyone else had the same issue and how did you resolve it?
  7. Hi All On our MACs If students open a word (office) document from our NAS they get, "Word cannot open this document. The document might be in use, the document might not be a valid word document etc etc" If they attempt to save to the NAS they get "word cannot save or create this file. the disk may be full or write protected. Try one of the following etc etc" It works fine if i log on the mac as local admin but clearly i dont want to give the student full admin rights. If they copy the file onto the mac and open it its fine and then save the file on mac and copy it to the NAs its fine. Any ideas please help ive got a teacher not very happy!!!
  8. That worked :-) I will monitor it and see if it goes back to how it was
  9. yes ive tried that :-( its only that 1 folder is affected
  10. Hi all This is a very strange issue We have a number of Mac who store work on a NAS When the users open a particular folder in "View as icons" it is blank (see pic) However if I change the view to list it is shows all that is in there (see next pic) Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can put it right - with a lot of folders list view isn't ideal. Ironically if I change the folder name it shows in list view for a couple of days before going back to blank iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)
