gshaw Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Just a quick survey, what do you use on your images for playing... DVDs RealPlayer Quicktime Any other misc formats We used to have Quicktime \ Real Alternative then moved to K-Lite for the DVD playing functions as well plus the other codecs but reading further I'm not sure how legit the whole package is. VLC seems a better option for DVD playing but what about the others, I really don't want the crapfest that is RealOne on the network, plus isn't there a licensing issue where in theory you'd have to pay to put it on an image? Same goes for Quicktime as well, hateful software!
Gerry Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Not tried it myself yet, but there is the Combined Community Codec Pack As for player, I use Media Player Classic.
Stevenw Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 we use VLC and windows media player 11 with k lite codec, real alternative and quick alternative.
