chazzy2501 Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Erk, for some reason it's stopped letting my domain accounts from logging in. I think it authenticates just fine but says the account does not have permission... So fine, troubleshooting away, log in using local account....poo.. I've got the password, I wrote it down but not the log in user! I'm unsure of the format.. The server is called "beamvc.dcc-sch-4505.local" so my login should be admin, administrator,[email protected] but it says invalid credentials?! should it be @vsphere.local still? I also tried the beamvc.dcc-sch-4505\username but that gets me an invalid as well. I tried logging on to the console using root but the password isn't accepted... I'll assume it's not the same as the default admin account.. I don't want to rebuild this blooming thing!
kmount Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Unless you changed the default it will be [email protected] It might be your password has expired. Can you log into VAMI at https://ip:5480 with root / the root password? Try SSH'ing in and confirming "df -h" doesn't show that the disks are full which was an old but painful VCSA bug. 1
chazzy2501 Posted November 29, 2018 Author Posted November 29, 2018 When I try to use [email protected] is says that the credentials are invalid. When I try to login at the console it has beamvc: when I fail the first login attempt it states beamvc.dcc-sch-4505.local: I can't login to the VAMI it says unable to authenticate. I'm not sure if I have the wrong creds or it broken.
chazzy2501 Posted November 29, 2018 Author Posted November 29, 2018 fyi I do have the root password, it won't accept that either?! I'm just going to make a new one but I have no idea what has gone wrong. I restored a backup from last month, it has the same issue??! I can see a domain change breaking the domain stuff, but what happened internally... Going through the installer again I can see why I chose these odd looking passwords, they have annoying requirements.
