falko1 Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 We seem unable to add view only collaborators to google forms. The only option is edit access. This also happens if we use 'anyone with link can access'.. anyone can make a change to it. (Want to send out to students) Does anyone else have this issue?
6Foot2 Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 I have recently sent out notifications to our governors so that they can use a set of shared folders on our Google domain. It was reported that a few of the governors couldn't get in, while another governor reported that he was able to gain 'unauthorised access' (he said he was able to see/edit the documents via a user that should NOT have access) Upon further investigation, all of these issues have been shown to be user error/misinterpretation. Summary: While it seemed that there were problems with access to our Google domain it now seems that it was not the case.
TwistedHelixis Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 We seem unable to add view only collaborators to google forms. Do you mean can view the form to fill it in, as in to complete the survey or can only view the form and not fill it in? If its to fill in the form but not edit it, I thought you just opened he preview version and then emailed that link out to anyone. It should just give them view / complete access.

Use the preview as mentioned above to send to studenta so they can complete the form. Edited November 26, 2018 by fiza
gh5000 Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Isn't the whole point of collaborators that they can edit the document?Yeah, what is a view only collaborator? See the form results but not be able to change the questions?? Just trying to figure out what is the expected result. If this, then share access to the response sheet as view only.
peej2k Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 If you want someone to just fill it in, you choose the SEND button at the top and send it via email, link or HTML Embed. You only click "Add Collaborators" if you want them to edit the document in some way. If youy just want them filling it in, you don't add them as collaborators.
lstevens Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 If you want them to only be able to view the results, you could give them view only access to the results sheet instead?
