Office 2016 Save to Onedrive

Hi,

Users want to be able to directly save to OneDrive from within Word, Excel etc. Is this possible? Office shows the user is signed in (top right), however when they choose to save to One Drive (and shows their email address) it wants them to sign in again.

However, when entering the password it then says that the account or password is incorrect which I know it isnt.

Is it not possible to save this way?

Works for our staff but they also have OneDrive installed on their machine. So could be that?

Yes could well be as they don't have it installed!

Office has its own onedrive client built in, no need for onedrive to be installed on the PC.

 

The reason you are getting account username incorrect is the onedrive client built into office attempts to login personal accounts and your 365 accounts are business, if its setup correctly the users onedrive will automatically show. Looks like single sign on isn't working, office should show the display name in the top right not email address have you turned it on in azure ad?
