Amazon Scan Max - Anyone got this to work?

Got an Amazon package the other day with their Xmas branding on.

On the inside flaps was this message:

 

 

Try as I might though, I can't get it to scan in the amazon app. I have tried using all the options (product search, barcode scanner, Amazon gift card and smilecode scanner) and none are recognising the image (I assume you have to scan the dog?!).

Anyone esle seen this yet and tried to scan it? If so please let me know how you got on.

I started to download the app but it was taking ages, then I read all the 2 start reviews and cancelled.
