Our WEEE recylcing firm is able to take them along with everything else, so you may find one locally that's willing to take them for you. Your site agent (or science department?) will likely have arrangements for disposing of hazardous materials, so you could try asking there, assuming your lamps contain mercury.

When I started, I was given the following address to send dead lamps for recycling. Although we haven't used it in a while (like jthompson they just go in with our other WEEE waste).
