bodminman Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 Hi there, We have distributed Adobe Reader DC across the site in order to try and resolve the same issue with Adobe Reader XI but there is still no change. I can logon to a PC in the Staffroom and see that there are 4 print queues assigned to the PC and all the print queues are available in a multitude of applications with the exception of Adobe Reader. Adobe Reader is only giving us the option to print to the default printer on the machine. This has been replicated in various locations across the site but cannot find any solutions. I have posted this issue on the Adobe Communities/Forum and only got the 'It works of for me messages' but if you google the issues, it appears there are a lot of people experiencing the same problen. For the time being I have removed Adobe as I was getting too much ear ache about the problem and have installed Foxit instead. However, I want to get to the bottom of this issues if possible. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
mrwoberts Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 Maybe not the reply you wanted, but I'd just encourage you to ditch Adobe and stick with the Fox - remember to download their MSI and customisation tool and remove all the the bits you don't want.
free780 Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 I've seen this issue over the last 10 years. Close reader and reopen and the printers appear. I haven't seen it recently so I thought it had been fixed.
bodminman Posted November 12, 2018 Author Posted November 12, 2018 @free780 Closing the reader and then opening it again only works sometimes.
Rob_D Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 How are you deploying your printers? I remember we had something similar when we moved VBI to GPO printer deployment.
