Domain Controller Veeam Fail over Replication

Hey Folks,

 

Just looking for some quick advice.

Last holiday we installed a 2 node S2D system into the school. I used Veeam the majority of our servers over from the old cluster to S2D.

The only remaining servers on the old cluster are our Domain Controllers.

 

I've always a bit wary of doing anything with domain controllers so just wanna run this by you fine folk before I commit to anything. Does this process sound alright for moving my domain controllers ?

Everything is running on Hyper-V

 

1. Turn off Primary Domain Controller
   
2. Do a planned fail over to the new S2D
   
3. Set permanent fail over
   
4. Upgrade to VM Version 8
   
5. Turn primary domain controller back on
   
6. Wait 30 minutes
   
7. Turn off Secondary Domain Controller
   
8. Planned fail over
   
9. Permanent fail over
   
10. Upgrade to VM Version 8
    
11. Turn on secondary domain controller
    
12. Assume everything went well ?
    
13.
