Friend of mine works as service engineer, one of their customers or potential customers is asking weather or not any engineers who are likely to attend have every worked abroad.

I'd be a bit reluctant to give this information out now especially under the GDPR, what are anyone's thoughts on this?

I cant see a problem if they are just asking generally. If for instance they are asking for names and contact details then its a no.

The customer could have a base abroad and want to know if the company would be willing to send someone abroad.

Obviously without the full context its hard to give out a precise answer.

If this is in education they would be asking potentially because, especially in independent schools, they require it (it is an ISI regulation)

Friend has been back in touch with me regarding this, one thing that has raised concerns for me is that names and pictures are been sent to their customers. Where does this come under the GDPR?

The original request was to do with DBS and overseas working.
