SpuffMonkey Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Just bought a new (to me) car and am thinking of replacing the existing head unit with an aftermarket Android job. What I want is an app that has the following specific functionality, which mimics the operation of my old HU - I want it to play random tracks from whatever I load on, but if I hear one I really like - I want there to be a single button that when pressed will play all the tracks from the album that the current track is from (preferably in album order) and then drop back to playing random tracks My music is organised like this (if thats important) Artist/Album/Tracks Any pointers much appreciated
Andycat Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Just to hijack, I'd be interested in any music apps for these too. I have one , using Poweramp at the minute but it's quite awkward to use with the new design. Also,Head Units are all a bit hit and miss, definitely a tinker required!
TwistedHelixis Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 https://www.parrot.com/uk/car-kits#discover-car-kits I went with the Parrot MKi 9100, which works with existing head unit and any blutooth phone, The speech recognition is fantastic or you can use your own phones speech recognition such as Google Now. It can also make or answer calls and play your music from any music app.
