Import staff in ParentPay?

I should say.

 

The ClassGroup is the last two characters of their title.

 

Mr = Mr

rs = Mrs

ss = Miss

er = Master

Dr = Dr

etc

 

This allows us to mail-merge with Excel later, and convert back to the correct title.

New to PP , can anyone and I mean anyone show me an example of how a csv file has to be formatted to upload some new pupils. I am going mad trying to do something as simple as upload a file. Please help. I tried PP support who told me to use the sync tool , it only works with SIMS and we use PASS.

The MIS:Sync tool will import manually from CSV and XML and upload to ParentPay, it doesn't just have to be SIMS.

 

File > Export template will give you the attached XLS.

 

Alternatively I've attached our live (redacted) XML with just one student in.

Many thanks for the reply @howartp , that's the format I am using. When I try to upload it using the Sync tool it fails and tells me "The number of deleted pupils is greater than the maximum delete threshold and the upload was aborted." I have a ticket open with them explaining that I am just wanting to add one pupil gggrrrhhh , not delete anything

Have you included all the existing pupils in the upload as well?

 

You can't just upload one new record, you have to include a whole new dataset.
