phreak Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Mine just arrived today. Will see how it plays tonight. TBH the missus wanted it more than I did. I want Mario Kart but I might as well try this out. Should be good for a laugh anyway. And I can just imagine me and my drunken friends trying to do the yoga positions on it and falling on our asses.
EduTech Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Got me GTA IV I am going to get the Wii Fit after work tonight, when i say its for the misses she might get the wrong idea Lmaoo I will be on the seatee tonight james

plexer Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Well we had a good night friday the 5 friends came over and we spent several hours on the wii fit trying to out do each other. Bit sore from it though. Ben
timbo343 Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 I think a mate of mine is getting one today or tomorrow. I know i shall be round there to have a look at it when he gets it.
HodgeHi Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 I would like to get the Wii fit but for one little niggle. It's the fact that Ninty has said that they may release games that utilise the pad depending on how well it sells. To me this is the wrong way round. To push and drive the sales of this they should be stating more upcoming releases that will utilise the pad. I was thinking as to how and here are a couple. You got the boxing and then you could use the pad to sense when you duck and dive out the way of an incoming fist. You could use the Pad to determine the stance you are using in Golf and thus your swing and whack could be adjusted due to me being crap at golf. But the one i like best is Zelda. Imagine using the wii Pad to trigger switches on the floor and to fit with the sword. You could move and tilt on the pad to make the motion while keeping the nunchuck and the wii-mote for complete sword fighting and shield control. Obviously i ain't played the Wii fit as most of this won't probably be do-able. :-( But if they could just utilise the accessories then it may just be worth the £70
Joanne Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 i got me the last one at currys on friday hehe... shiny shiny shiny!!!!
GrumbleDook Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Could pick one up at the weekend since it is stock limited to pre-orders in most shops. Come pay day we will order online no doubt.
steve_nfi Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Must be in the wrong job. Can't afford any of them.
plexer Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Super monkey ball using the wii fit would be an ideal candidate. Ben
HodgeHi Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Super monkey ball using the wii fit would be an ideal candidate. Ben Could be good fun especially in multiplayer mode with more than one pad.
Joanne Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Super monkey ball using the wii fit would be an ideal candidate. Ben kororinpa is better!
Guest coquet636 Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 (edited) i bought ME FIT for £40 quid yesterday, got free trainers and miles and miles and miles of grass, tarmac, mud, gravel paths and roads... UPDATE... ME FIT developed a leak and excessive fluid pored out from all surface area. So upgraded to Wii Fit cost was expensive but managed to bag lots of GF Love Tokens so cost forgotten and 2 exercise machines now being used to much enjoyment. Edited April 28, 2008 by coquet636

Halfmad Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Got mine on saturday, lots of fun although the yoga doesn't really like me much! Pretty good fun so far, just hope they bring out full titles that utilise it as it's a great piece of kit and works beautifully. Bit humiliating when it weighs you and changes your "wii mii" into what looks like Matt Lucas though.
phreak Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 It is defiantly a good laugh and after just 4 days I am already feeling increased energy levels. One thing though that I don't like about it. When you do a body test at the end it gives you a WiiFit Age. It seems completely random at time when your BMI and agility scores are almost exactly the same as yesterday but I seem to have dropped about 10 years off my Wiifit age. Yet if you do even a little worse than yesterday it seems to add about 14 years onto your Wiifit age. How does that work?
