Konica Bizhub 423

Hi all

 

I have a Konica Bizhub 423 that started playing up last week (almost 5 days after I upgraded Papercut from version 16 > 18)

 

It is running Papercut MF and it began by just showing 'Connecting to Server' I can neither ping it or access the Printer webpage, checked all cabling and switch port

 

I ended up doing a trouble reset by turning off the copier, then pressing 'utility' button down, power on copier, when trouble reset > YES appeared on screen, powered off for 15 seconds and on again

 

Seems to have done the trick and I thought all is well. Printed to a Follow me printer queue ok, and did a native photocopy..great, walked away.

 

Then shortly after it exhibited intermittent behavior like complete lock up when wrong paper size detected, slow touch panel response and ultimately anything sent to a find me / follow me will appear on the release queue on the copier, when pressing ok to release it will just disappear - no printing, no logs on papercut.

 

Rebooted, upgraded to the latest firmware, did another Trouble reset.. same issue, it will still connect to print server, does a direct print via print manager, and photocopy and scan natively.. just everything sent to the release queue disappears and not print.

 

No other copier in school is having this issue. I was about to delete the device and recreate it under print manager and papercut again, but wondering if anyone has seen this before? Could it be hardware? la sudden Paper-

cut upgrade bug that just appeared?

School boy error!

 

In my stress a few weeks ago with Papercut upgrade that went wrong (and thanks to Edugeek folks for saving my bacon) I migrated all the Papercut ports to recommended TCPIP ports

 

It was purely a wrong IP address port I assigned to the copier to Doh!
