chrisprice Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 Hi, We're having a weird issue recently since the upgrade to Windows 10. We are running Adobe CC and the shortcuts are supposed to be on the desktop (or start menu) for students, but more often than not, they aren't. This means they can't use the programs, as they aren't allowed to access the C drive. We have students on roaming profiles, and a profile reset (deletion of profile on server) seems to sort it. We don't allow them to store anything in the profile anyway so it's not a big deal, but it requires a log off so we can reset it, for them to log on again, which can take a while at the start of a lesson. Anyone had a similar issue or got any ideas? Thanks! Chris
3s-gtech Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 Roaming profiles + Windows 10 + Adobe CC is pretty much the holy trinity of 'it'll break'. My advice would be to look into ditching roaming profiles for local/mandatory or UE-V.
chrisprice Posted October 10, 2018 Author Posted October 10, 2018 Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I don't think that's an option. We have staff on local but students on roaming, for many reasons. Surely there is another way around this?
