blong Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 (edited) The issue we are having is that when using any pen it doesn't matter which color when we start to write it or use it it goes absolutely nuts. It will not write a straight line and it appears to be really off even after a 20 point calibration. I did the trick of removing the pen tray and loosing the screws and adding a plastic washer to reduced the contact of the board and the screws but that didn't help the issue. Also I noticed when just holding your finger on the screen it moves constantly up and down. I have reinstalled the drivers already and the Smart Board says the firmware is up to date. smurfomatic Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Had this issue before, and found a really weird solution to it here. Connect a wire from the VGA cable mounting screw (assume the same for HDMI if that's what you're using) to the earth pin of the mains lead.
kjadams Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 We had similar issues in the past. Ended up replacing the controller module on the rear of the board.

We fixed the Smart Board using your method. Thanks!
