Our DT Food lot are using this https://platform.learningplus.co.uk site and i cannot for the life of me get it to work properly, they insist that it's something to do with pop up blocking, but i've now run the site on a computer with no group policies applied, logged in as an admin, changed all the site settings to allow and still some, what appears to be javascript that causes a pop up window to appear, doesn't work. Instead the area you click on goes grey and you cna't do anything but go back. You're meant to be able to click on 5 slides on the screen, and each one causes a pop up window, then when you've opened and closed each one once, the "next" button becomes available.

 

I'm using google chrome, the site does come up with a "flash was blocked on this page" icon on the right hand side of the address bar, and i've tried clicking "run this time" but that appears to do nothing. Normally when i've seen that icon appear before it's when the page is trying to load content that is external to the page you're actually on, however in the developer window > sources there's nothing external being loaded.

 

It appears to be "SCORM" content if that's of any help.

 

Anyone have any suggestions? I'm pulling my hair out with it!

 

EDIT: Not sure if it's relevant but it appears to be failing to run some part of their website, trivantis-inline.js....I'm no web developer so i've no idea what any of it means though, of the relevance of that.

Searching for "trivantis-inline.js" on Google brings up some results that might be helpful, several threads from supports forums (although mostly from around 2011).

 

Have you checked that wherever trivantis-inline.js is served from is not blocked by a gateway filter? We've had several sites' CSS / JS files blocked as these days that sort of thing often gets hosted on a dedicated CDN, some of which also serve ads, and therefore tend to get blocked by the average school web filter.

Looks as though it's served directly from their own site, nothing different about it as far as i can tell. Doesn't appear to be any remote content sources.

 

That javascript appears to attempt to create a pop-up, i've got the site whitelisted in group policy, and i've tried the policy for "all sites to simultaneously navigate and open pop-ups" enabled but still no luck.
