Ipad accessing a network share

Hi everyone

 

I manage Ipads in a school and teacher has asked me if her students can somehow connect to the student network shared folder. I thought maybe there was an app or two that could do it - probably paid.

 

We manage our ipads through MDM and get apps from the VPP.

We’re using WebDAV to achieve this although I do find its use limited and increasingly staff and students are using OneDrive to share files between their home drives/shared drives and their iPads.

we use foldr to do this

We use filebrowser - they do an education and a business version, both of which can be configured via mdm with the network shares you want to connect to. I have it set up to map to a DFS share, and then add or remove drives to this as required, so I don't have to re-configure them when any servers change.

 

We looked at foldr and it looked great, but was too expensive for us.

Thanks - a few options - I think with what she wants to do, it wont be easy. I have downloader and deployed filebrowser for now. Cheers :-D
