mattx Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Anyone experience sudden loss of the sound on these PCs ? I have a few now going into silent mode on me. Have updated to the latest ver of the AC97 driver, still nothing - checked everything - [ including the mute ] - nothing out headphones at the front, or the speaker out the back.... I am now going back to a basic build from a XP CD to see if I can get it to work with the original drivers but I have a horrid feeling I will soon have a batch of Acers with buggered up sound chipsets... Odd thing is that XP sees the chipset ok, no problems there - just silent !!
