localzuk Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 We use SiteHelpdesk-IT. We use features of it that are paid for features in Freshdesk, and the cost for us would be at least £1980 pa for Fresh Service, to cover what we use. Whereas SHD was about £1800 to buy, and then £330 a year maintenance, hosted internally. SHD is uglier, that's for sure, but it is hard to justify £1980 a year otherwise!
Wubbalubbadub Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 So i have just found out that Spiceworks cloud is hosted in the US.. so i'm now in this "looking for a helpdesk" boat. Need something that can be used for 10 schools... I looked at freshdesk, and personally don't really like it. I want a nice simple helpdesk!
atcoates Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 (edited) I'm using the free version of Freshdesk with eight schools. I think the free version is very cut down so a lot simpler than the paid for version. It was really simple to setup and really simple to use and the app is pretty good as well. Wubbalubbadub Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 I really can't get on with freshdesk, I love the outlook style that spiceworks cloud uses, so I can view all the tickets without leaving the page, IE I click a ticket and the box below shows me the contents. Freshdesk takes me to a separate page. If that makes sense to anyone?
