Recreating the SUSDB and WSUS Content folder for a Windows Server 2012 based WSUS com

I wonder if anyone had followed the notes in the URL below for recreating their WSUS Content Folder?

 

Mine has grown very very large and even after un-selecting Windows 7 and Server 2012 which we no longer need and running the clean up wizard it has hardly cleared up any space.

 

I thought it might also improve performance if I start over in WSUS with a fresh database!

 

To that end has anyone followed the instructions here:
