Does anyone else use PS Connect for home/school comms? Any issues with reliability? Constantly getting staff unable to send messages, all info to PS's servers entirely unfiltered and firewall (Sophos) confirms this. PS keep telling us it's our end but we're not so sure; wondering if it's buck passing or if we do need to investigate much further!

Just found this post

We are having major issues with PS Connect - ever since they changed from the keepkidssafe address to PF or FSConnect, we have had issues with parents not receiving emails and tha main providers blacklisting the new PS Connect address.

As you have found PS connect are telling us we need to contact parents or providers (Sky/Yahoo) to ask them to update their settings - can' help thinking the issue should be being sorted out by PS connect as we are paying them for a service.

We had the same problem and had to re-install the software on our server to cure it. The latest version of their server software is much better but we are experiencing a large number of emails (20 - 50%) not being delivered as their new email address looks like it has been blacklisted as spam.

The latest software only cures the 'unable to connect to the server' problem. The failure to deliver emails seems to be casued by PS Connect being marked as a spamming organisation by some internet providers (notably Sky and BT). We are now talking to them about their innability to deliver their side of the contract.

Ah I see. Add yahoo to that list. It’s a real mess and i think that we’ll be having that conversation soon.

I'm guessing PS Connect forward their email via some sort of relay which isn't listed in their SPF and so Yahoo is soft failing it (marking it as spam).

If any one can post a message trace or email headers we can have a look more closely.

According to PS, after they changed their email address some parents marked their emails as spam and yahoo blocked the domain. Guess this also happened with the sky and BT addresses.

Big problem for us is parents not checking their spam. Had to show a fair few parents that they are receiving the emails but they are being sent to spam :/
