Morning,

Currently looking at moving from RM Unify to the Salamander solution, which does far and away offer a much more complete solution, but the only thing I'd be missing would be the way Unify does the SSO for our current staff & Students to both GSuite and o365 tenancies.

Just wondering those who have Salamander or equivalents how do you do SSO? Before Unify we used the Google password sync so I assume we'd move back to that and a similar thing for 0365? Just thought I'd see if there was anything obvious or slicker I was missing.

Cheers

...Office 365 SSO can be done without any cost...ever since AD Azure Connect replaced Dir sync (which is free....). (needs to be on something later than 2008R2 for SSO to work).

Google SSO - perhaps you can't do that for three...but you can certainly sync users, passwords and groups for free with GADs and GAPs.

Salamader is doing what MIS systems should be doing as part of their role....without buying an extra product. I particularly like their sync of timetables into outlook calendar.

Sounds fairly straightforward then, will have a look at that then. It'll save us some money moving and yes things like Outlook calendar sync and the Sharepoint group setups looks like it'll be a huge time save for us!

Azure AD Connect should let you do Google SSO for free. Still experimenting at the minute, but it's a feature you manage through Azure rather than on your DC or with any extra Google systems.
