SavedZelda Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 Hi all, I'm hoping someone might be able to clarify the situation with SMART Notebook 11.4 for me? I'm aware that 11.4 is no longer supported on Windows (which is fair enough, it's very old) but are we still freely able to use it? I can't get the software to install but I believe it is s because the site I'm at is on Windows 10 1803 and fully up to date via WSUS. It was previously installed via Group Policy however the software uninstalled itself - do we know if an update from SMART killed the software or if it's simply fallen victim to a Windows Update? Issues with .NET 4.7 perhaps? Grateful for any information on this!
DJ-1701 Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 I believe I needed to install Dot Net Framework 3.5 on Windows 10, but it still works here on 1803.

jmak Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 I've just installed it on our newly imaged 1803 machines over the last week. No reports of it uninstalling yet! I've somehow mislaid my admin install packager, so had to do it manually [emoji17] I also manually installed the latest drivers before installing smart notebook. Don't know if that makes any difference, but it works... 1
ColonelPanic Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 We have it installed on a good number (>25) of our machines here, didn't require loading any other versions of .Net that I can remember. The only issue we've had previously, is SMART Ink causing issues with certain Office apps. The drivers that come with the installer seem to work fine, as do the updated drivers (v12.10 I believe) Running 1709/1803 1
gshaw Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 Works on 1709 here but we do install the .NET 3.5 Role as part of the MDT imaging process 1
SavedZelda Posted September 12, 2018 Author Posted September 12, 2018 Thanks guys, I think there may have been a rogue GPO causing problems. I've since been able to get it to work installing via start-up script. Another EduGeek user kindly uploaded the 11.4 package. Seems to be ok now!
samor Posted October 5, 2018 Posted October 5, 2018 is there any way of installing 11.4 on mac with high sierra?
SavedZelda Posted October 8, 2018 Author Posted October 8, 2018 is there any way of installing 11.4 on mac with high sierra? Unfortunately not. 11.4 stopped working on Macs some time ago.
