dr_zoidberg590 Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 Hello, could I ask you guys for a little advice please? I've worked as a 1st line support for 5 years, but I want to get a new qualification to improve my chances of finding work as I'm currently between jobs. I'm thinking MCSA at the entry level, such as Desktop or Server qualification - I'm just a bit overwhelmed by how many website seem to offer them, and it's not cheap. So can anyone recommend a website that offers this kind of MCSA and is well-run and trustworthy? Ideally one that you or a friend has used successfully (gained the qualification.) P.S. As a side note I'm also interested in what are considered the best entry-level web design or HTML courses. There seems to be an endless parade of services offering these and the online lists of the 'best' sites are often 10-20 sites long. Can anyone recommend a good entry level qualification, and a site to do it on, which is also going to have some value to an employer. Thanks!
jonathan.lees Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 I recommend Pluralsight, there's an annual or a monthly fee and you can do any course you like. I'd also recommend buying a book for each of the MS qualifications and work your way through it alongside the training videos and practice, practice, practice so you'll need a decent spec machine and a load of VMs especially if you are wanting MSCA server. It's really tough too so you might want to start with CompTIA A+ or similar. That's the advice I give my apprentices.
