Just had our renewal quote through for EES agreement. Even though FTE has reduced by 8% the cost has gone up by 31%!!!!!

 

Anyone succeeded in, inventive ways to lessen the blow. Other than dropping Microsoft and going Google (We are along that path but not enough)

+1 for @johnlevis he was considerably cheaper then 1 company and marginally cheaper on another company I got quotes from.

Same for us, @johnlevis was the cheapest of our quotes too.

I just don't get Microsoft's pricing strategy (increases) at a time when schools are being hammered with reduced budgets right now. I think anyone seeing these increases should really take a close look at GSuite as a means to save costs.

It is a result of the current government and DfE not renegotiating with Microsoft - the last 'cheap' OVS agreements are now coming to an end.

I guess eventually it will all be tied up with a Microsoft 365 subscription per user. Based on the knowledge worker count. Logically the government should increase funding to help with the cost increase if they are not going to renegotiate a better deal. I wouldn't be surprised if the non subscription based licencing is more expensive than subscriptions to try and move more organisations to the cloud. I still think moving to Gsuite doesn't prepare students for the real world as many companies choose Office 365 or stay on prem.
