User Approved MDM - UAMDM Questions

Recommended Posts

Now that we have a number of labs imaged I'm just now realizing this UAMDM nagging message in Profiles. I'm curious what follows under User Approved and what classifies as system approved?

I have full labs connected to our Profile Manager and though I get the message seen in the image below that "Functionality may be limited until this profile is approved." I haven't had any issues yet. I can still push printers, dock settings, active directory binding, login window settings and more. Does UAMDM strictly remove access for third party options from being installed and applied like apps etc?

Thank you

PM can actually do a fair bit as we've been using it for the better part of 5 years now. That said it's primary use has always been . AD Binding, Printer Mapping, Shares, Login Settings/scripts, Energy Settings and a few other tasks.

That said, once I get back to testing we're looking at JAMF or Parallels for our computers (most likely PMM due to SCCM integration) and InTune for our mobile devices since it's included with Azure.
