Forwarding individual emails (not entire threads) in Outlook 365...

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to forward individual email (not the entire preceding conversation) in Outlook 365?

It was apparently possible to send emails previously (at least in Exchange 2010) which didn't automatically include the previous thread by switching out of conversation mode. The only things I've found online so far suggest that Microsoft has removed the feature.

Thanks.

I don't think you can do it any more. I assume you wanted a slightly more technical answer than just delete the rest of the thread when forwarding? :)

Our Head's used the old system - she's very careful with forwarding emails and was hoping to continue being able to do it, as it expedites the process. (I wasn't aware the feature even existed, and having heard about I do think it sounds quite useful.)

Thanks for the reply - it's useful to have confirmation that there's no way to get it working again.

Top right of main mail folder view... Filter > Show As > Messages. Then it behaves exactly like email always did prior to folks inventing conversation views and focused inboxes, and allows you to forward a single email and manually delete anything previously quoted within that email if needed (assuming that's what you meant).

In non-365 (ie: locally installed Outlook etc) you can still turn off quoting previous replies in the mail body within the Outlook app prefs. In online Outlook 365, you can't... you just have to manually delete from the mail body anything you don't want contained in the mail body.
