adamf Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 I seem to have a problem with the recipient policy on our exchange server where it doesn't want to apply to one particular user. The policy is configured to apply %g.%[email protected] and the check box (automatically update e-mail addresses based on recipient policy) on the e-mail addresses tab for the user is checked. I've deleted the mailbox and re-created it but this doesn't seem to fix it. Any ideas?
SYNACK Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Long shot but have you checked the filter on the recipient policy to make sure that it is not excluding this user?
adamf Posted April 19, 2008 Author Posted April 19, 2008 The filter is set to: (mailnickname=*) That includes everyone doesn't it?
SYNACK Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Yes should do, have you tried running the recipient policy update manually by right clicking it in the exchange system manager. I think there is also a rebuild option. Both take several minutes to run but may help out with your problem.
adamf Posted April 19, 2008 Author Posted April 19, 2008 I've already run the policy manually, it doesn't seem to make a difference.
SYNACK Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Don't know then, maybe this could help: How to troubleshoot the Recipient Update Service by using the Application log in Exchange 2000 Server or in Exchange Server 2003 Also it may be an idea to edit the email value manually as this should reset the accounts USNchanged attribute which may free it up. Also as it is only one account this should fix the issue of the users email for them anyway.
