4k Monitor

Can anyone recommend a good quality large (around 32") 4k curved monitor?

 

Must be good for gaming, but also for text - it's not for me, but my brother who plays games a lot and is a developer.

 

He hasn't really set a budget - any price is fine really if it is worth spending the extra on it for better quality.

Alienware AW3418DW? It's not 4K though.

 

I am thinking of getting one myself (although given the price I might wait until a newer version with HDMI 2.0 is released).

I've got 3 x Samsung U32E850R in at the moment. Top notch condition.

 

Remarkably expensive at £600 Ex VAT, but I'm assured this is a great price for the model.

Alienware one looks good, shame the resolution isn't quite 4k, I think at that price I'd want it to be!

 

Samsung one looks good spec, but I think curved is a must, and preferably looking a bit nicer!

Good grief, I remember when curves on a monitor were considered a bad thing!

 

In all seriousness (and I may well be wrong about this), the only curved monitors that I've seen have been ultrawide monitors like the one that Arthur suggested. If you want 4k, that suggests you want a monitor with a 3840x2160 resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. I suspect you may find that harder to find.

To be honest if he is a developer ultra wide is pretty amazing, I have had an ultra wide for several years now and wouldnt go back.
