WSUS Issues

My WSUS server seems to be functioning ok and download updates as it should. It picks up my clients and my clients see that they have updates available. However, when the clients try to update they instantly fail with an error code 80244019

 

any one else had same issues?

Have you ever done manual deletes on the server? As that's basically a 404 error.

 

If you run wsusutil reset it'll force re-download them all, but will take awhile as effectively it wipes the update cache.

 

The other option is if you have the clients set to the wrong port numbers (depending on HTTP/S settings) in your GPO

 

What's the clients report in the update logs?

A few things to try out as I've been wrapping my head with WSUS for the past few days; If your clients are Windows 10 and you're using GPO to roll out settings, make sure add ".domain.local" to the end of the server name as I've noticed that Windows 10 is picky. If you use a proxy, have you got a proxy exception for the server? There are a few other things that I can think of if neither of these two see fit.

where do you run the wsusutil at? command prompt comes up with errors.
