Sharp Photocopiers - Sleep

Do you guys leave photocopiers on all the time even when they aren't in use or do you let them go to sleep after a short time so staff have to wake them up to use them?

We have Sharp photocopiers here.

Whats worse for the environment? Staying on all the time or waking up from sleep?

Not sure if you got the option on yours but ours wake themselves when someone walks in front so it's already powering on when someone gets to it

I set mine to 30/60, sleep 30 minutes, power off 60 minutes, works quite well and very rarely go off during the day.

 

As regards to the newer ones with motion sensors I turned that off, causes a few issues especially if using PaperCut.
