I have recently rebuilt our exchange server, previoulsy staff would enter http://mail and be taken straight to their mailbox using their logged on Windows credentials. That now doesn't work. Instead they get prompted for their username/password.

I have selected 'Integrated Windows Authentication' under the directory security tab of the default website in IIS and remvoed anon access. It still doesn't work.

What am I missing :confused:

Have you tried using http://HTTPS://?

When i log into exchange 2007 through a web browser i need to enter this.

Under IIS i have nothing under websites refering to exchange. But under Web service extensions i have the following allowed

ASP .net

Microsoft Exchange Client Access Server

Microsoft exchange server

All set to allowed. I think i had to manually set these if i remember rightly. but i dont do these often so may be mistaken

Go into Exchange system manager, drill down to your server, then protocols, http, Exchange Virtual Server, Exchange folder and make sure that Int Auth is set there - this seems to be a different way of setting the same thing and they can go out of sync!

Also I would probably only have integrated checked and not the others.

When you browse to the site IE does change to Intranet security zone (bottom right on the status bar) as without intranet it wont automatically send auth.

@ZeroHour

Thanks! Thats working now.

The setup we have currently is 2 domains in the forest. Does anybody know if integrated auth will work for a user that exists in a different domain to the exchange server? I haven't had a chance to try it yet.

Cheers
