Setting multiple default apps for same file types

Hi all

 

Anyone know how this works? We tend to install Adobe Reader DC and Acrobat DC. Where Acrobat DC is installed, I'd like that to be the default PDF reader rather than Reader. If I put both into the default apps xml, putting Acrobat last, will that work, or just confuse systems without the default on?

 

I suppose I can create a separate XML file to get round it.
