[sims] SIMS parent app lite who can view addresses?

I have a question about who is using parents app lite. There could be three addresses in SIMS Contact 1, Contact 2 and student address. When using the app for data checking what does C1 and C2 see the students home address? Or can they only update it? I am just thinking if you had a situation where C1 does not want C2 to know where they live but the student lives at that address but they have a right to update the student address. Or is a court order likely to have removed parental responsibility in this situation.

 

Has anyone else got any key pointer about the SIMS parent app lite?

The two setting that relate to this are:

 

Contact Can See Only Self

If enabled the contact cannot view or edit any other contacts for the student.

 

Contact Must Live At Same Address

If enabled Data Collection is only available to contacts that live at the same address as the child.

 

The default for both is 'Yes' - Contacts can only see their own details, and Contacts must live at the same address as the pupil to be eligbale for Parent Lite access.

 

I’d recommend leaving the default settings in-place, as the potential issues that could arise in certain circumstances (that you have raised), outweigh the potential advantages.
