ITGURU Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Just ran windows update on a laptop which upgraded it from 1709 to 1803 I now cannot adjust the screen brightness either in display settings or using the laptop function keys. I've removed and reinstalled the driver, and even put the basic driver on and still unable to change it. One driver results in the screen being dim all the time, the other at full brightness, How can i get it working again?
Oaktech Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 It'll be function key drivers from the manufacturer. They may have been uninstalled during the upgrade. I'd check out the manufacturers website. Toshiba seems particularly bad for this.

Toshiba seems particularly bad for this. Already tried that, a repair and a complete uninstall/reinstall.
