User Profiles theme problem.

I have just started having a similar problem but it is only with new users. The odd thing is, is that if I log that user on to another machine after their initial log on, the Windows XP theme then starts to work.

 

Is this likely to still be a corrupt profile issue?

Problem is with 500 users i wouldnt necessarly know when its happening.

 

500 concurrent users? all hitting the same server for their profile?

 

Depending on the spec and setup, I think that might be your issue

 

If you dont want to go the mand profile route, you could try load balancing your profiles a bit i.e. seperate them off onto diff servers by year etc., or get a little but fast NAS unit and put them on that etc.
